I began writing songs soon after I moved to Los Angeles, which was 1979. I wrote alone or co-wrote a lot of songs during that period with Bobby Crew, Fred Knobloch and others. As a cowriter, I generally was the lyricist first, and then we would work that into a completed song. When I got my own midi studio I mainly began writing instrumental music. Could this be an example of left brain/right brain sepration of abilities? I don't know, and neither do I. Now, after getting settled again in New Orleans, I have renewed interest in songwriting and 'laying down' my songs in my new and improved post-disaster midi studio. We're back! | ||||||||
